Level 68 Cheat #3: Keep track of Odus’ colors.

  • Odus will begin with two colors on either side. You need to balance them in order to keep him from falling off the scale.
  • Once the moon scale is full and a moon struck has happened, Odus will return with two new colors.

I’ve completed over 100 levels on the other side (now doing quests after level 215) while being stuck on this level. Every time I explode most of the jellies Otis falls off. Has anyone actually beat this level by fluke?

The “Dreamworld” levels take a lot of the fun out of this game and Anus the Owl is getting on my nerves. He falls way too easily here and there’s nothing the player can do to avoid it. I only play these levels while I’m waiting for my next quest in the other levels. Skill has nothing to do with some of these Dreamworld levels (like this one) and you just have to wait until luck wins out. In my opinion that’s not fun, it’s just frustrating. It’s one thing to make the levels more difficult by requiring the player to plan ahead and count the moves more carefully – that’s how games are supposed to work. It’s another thing to just make it so the player gets shut down by circumstances they can’t control. That’s boring.

Holy crap. I finally beat it fair and square. This was by far the worst level I’ve seen in the whole game. I actually cleared the board once, but was short on points. I finally got enough points and had one jelly and one turn left. I had to use a switch bonus I got from the free spin wheel, but I cleared it without buying anything. I’m happy to be done with that level, but it still took a lot of fun out of the game.

That might be a while yet. I only deal with the owl in between levels of the regular game, where you have to wait a day between quests, and sometimes not even then. So far, I’m only on Level 76 in Dreamworld. I still think this part of the game relies too much on luck and not enough on strategy. But it’s definitely satisfying to beat these levels if you can get past the aggravation.

LOL at Anus the Owl. I find the idea of him falling off a perch a little stupid, anyway–hello?! You’re a bird; you can fly! …Anyway. I beat this level, but don’t remember how I did it. I may have had to buy 5 extra moves. I think this one involves more dumb luck than some of the other levels. As for the “tips” given here, the fact that all the experts here can think of is “use Moon Struck” and “Keep an eye on Odus,” plus one other slightly less obvious tip–three “no shit, Sherlock” tips–tells me they don’t have any more insight than we do on this level.
