You need to start by clearing the licorice locks at the lower part of the board to open up the playfield. The locks are not tough to clear and they only require being hit once by a special candy or matched with two other candies. Match candies adjacent to licorice locks to have them cleared. There are also chances of making wrapped candies and striped candies at this stages.

Use these special candies to clear the locks since they will wipe several off the board in a single move. With all the licorice locks gone, it will be easier to clear jellies to beat Candy Crush Level 1214.
