The locks trap the largest number of candies in this level, and this makes it hard to make good moves to beat this level. The priority of this level at initial stages should then be the clearing these locks within the fewest moves possible. Normal candy matching will not be particularly helpful, and this is why the use of vertical striped candies is important. With six candy colors on the board, it will not be easy to create these candies but do not miss out an opportunity to make one. Level 30 Cheat #1: Jelly first.

This tip is important for level 30 because you do not know which column your ingredients are going to fall down, and since this type of jelly only requires one hit to clear it, it is useful to get this out of your way first.
Since it is harder to clear the jelly once the ingredients are lying on top of it, as there are less ways to clear it, start by making your moves at the bottom of the board.
This will also allow the new falling candies from the top of your board to make new opportunities to create special candies and clear jellies without wasting additional moves. Once you have cleared all your jelly, you can make moves at the top of the board again as that is where a lot of special candy opportunities will be.

Level 30 Cheat #1: Clear out the meringue immediately.

As with any blocker-filled ingredient challenge, you’ll need to clear out the squares that cover the bottom of the grid before your ingredients will have a prayer of dropping through. The ingredients can come down any column, so make sure you clear out as much meringue as you can.
Horizontal matches are great for clearing out big patches of meringue at once, even without a special candies. Plus, they’re more likely to create vertically striped candy that can move an ingredient out of the grid in one shot.

Level 30 Cheat #2: Use Odus’ Moon Struck to clear the board.

Odus the owl can be a danger if tipped too far, but his Moon Struck power will remove all the candies of the color towards which he’s tipped. All you need to do is fill his meter with candies of other colors.
If you’re trying to tip Odus one way or another, be careful not to push him too much. If Odus falls, the level immediately ends. You might need to spend a turn compensating for his precarious position.
